Light Amber Orange in color with a thin light tan head that quickly dissipates and leaves no lacing. Vinous aroma with a little wood and vanilla when served ice cold. Much more complex taste: earthy hops, leather, vanilla, caramel, raisin. Moderately chewy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Definitely in the American vein, but maybe with a Belgian twist? For Berlin, not too shabby.

Bottle purchased at the brewery, rated 5 days later.
Super cloudy, darker amber. This looks a little like apple cider. No head and no lace.
Sweet with raisins and port. A bit of honey and candy sugar.
Very rich with nearly no carbonation. It's flat like the apple cider look (most fermented ciders have more carbonation). The flavor mimics the smell with honey glazed raisins leading the taste. There is a touch of bitterness to the otherwise overwhelmingly sweet swallow. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a honey-based liqueur.
