Draft at the brewery
Smaller fizzy head with fair retention, hazy orange tan color
Nose big doughy creamy wheat, vanilla spice and orange cake batter, citrus, mild banana, faint clove spice
Taste again rich creamy doughy wheat, lots of vanilla spice, honey, cake batter, mild clove spice as well, general citrus and little orange cake, fair bananas foster, touch of bitterness, creamy finish, even a hint of bubblegum ester
Mouth is med bod, med to higher effervescent carb

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is gold, not really hazy and actually almost transparent (even with a bottle swirl), head is off white and presents 1 finger thick but dissipates quickly to nothing but a ring along glass side.
Smell is subdued with some bubblegum, really light banana, some clove, limited malt and wheat.
Taste seems a bit sweet, maybe residual from the yeast byproducts: notes of bubblegum, light banana, hint of clove, some light wheat and maybe more sweet malt.
Mouthfeel is crisp carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness but a growing carbonic or yeast bite.
Overall a sweeter, less yeasty hefe with a darker color; I wanted just a bit more wheat and yeast esters/phenols.

This was just an okay hefe to me. Too much sweetness overall; some appropriate bubblegum and banana but also some weird lemon candy notes. Refreshing enough but a bit off-style.
