Served in a frosted shaker pint glass at Stonewood Alehouse.

Found out about this place and its house beer randomly online and decided to give 'em both a try. Unimpressed with the bar itself (didn't have any food), so on to the beer. It pours a clear russet-amber topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises orange zest lapping up against some rather mild caramel. And that's it. The taste emboldens these bits, emphasizing the flesh of the orange. There's also the addition of bad lemonade (can't really elaborate on "bad"...you just know bad ade when you taste it, right?) and a strange mixture of random fruits, primarily fake banana and fake strawberry. I have no idea what to think by this point, and then a slab o' metal swipes its way across my tongue, melding its flavor with those already established thereon. Boo this. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a kinda wet feel. Overall, not quite a beer to head to Schaumburg for, lemme tell ya. Not impressed at all.

12 oz tap-pour at the Stonewood Ale House in Schaumburg, IL (the location it's brewed for).

A - Clear light amber with a low off-white head. Low retention but left lots of good lacing on the glass.

S - Amber toasted malts on the mild nose with a crisp hop aroma. A bit too cold to really get a good whiff of (refrigerated pint glass - come on....)

T - Initially amber malts with a low but good crisp hop flavor. The beer is unfortunately quickly changed to a gross metallic and cider finish. The nastiness went away after a few gulps but was really bad in the beginning.

M - Light-bodied, crisp, and watery with a metallic mouthfeel.

D - Not very good especially for the price ($5 a pint). The flavor just destroys the drinkability of this beer. With the amount of good beers they have at this location why would you ever choose this?
