a modern and unique iteration of the style, the first of their beers i have seen in package, and a fine ripper from the tap too, a less refined blonde and i mean that in a good way, some imperfect clarity, some residual sugar too which works in its favor, and overall a nice brew, these guys are flying low under the radar but doing some quality stuff. nice airy and bone white head on this pint, fizzy too, with a nose of pineapple from the can and red apple, suggesting a contemporary hop bill and mostly dry hopping technique, some melon in the mix too, even lemon, its fresh and good, striking as blonde ale goes, but still subtle by any other measure. not crisp, but i dont really miss that either, this can be summery without being that clean, maybe a unique comment for the style but its somehow true with this one. its juicy and fast drinking, and i think it would do well with pizza, salty asian food, spice, its versatile in that sense. good stuff from these guys, who probably deserve a little more spotlight in this awesome beer community in missoula...
