This pours bubbly and messy. Not very attractive. The nose is dank and malty. This one is quite a mess and it isn't a NEIPA. Harsh feel, partly due to the carbonation, with the aforementioned dankness, a hint of citrus at one point, and a slightly bitter end-note. The taste represents the looks. Just messy.

Poured from 330mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 4/11/24. This is billed as a "DDH Double New England IPA".
Appearance: very hazy light orange hue with a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. With the head subsided, it even looks like juice.
Smell: lightly sweet, citrusy, tropical, and juicy. There's also a dank/pineapple thing going on here that seems a little sharp to me, but it's balanced enough by the other sweet juiciness to be okay.
Taste: juicy, fruity, sweet, a little bit dank, and just a little bit herbaceous there at the end. A perfectly cromulent NEIPA.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a really nice, smooth, creaminess. Excellent. The label says this uses barley and oat malt, as well as flaked oats and wheat -- whatever they are doing, it's working.
Overall: this beer's flavor profile is teetering on one I might not like as much, with that kinda sharp element (not tart, per se, just ... sharp), however, it seems well made and the texture is excellent.
