This Kriek is prepared by maceration of young lambic with fresh cherries. The cherries are added the morning after picking. After maceration, the Kriekenlambic undergoes a further maturation in oak casks at the farm Het Boerenerf Eylenbosch.
The Gorsemse Kriek is a Belgian variety, the second best of course. After Schaerbeek, the most interesting and complex to work with. An authentic Kriek, the fresh acids support the fruity notes and cherry aroma. A spiced gingerbread nose and a full foam head finish it all off.

A 750ml corked and capped bottle, 2021 vintage, with a best before date of 15th January 2027. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass.
Appearance: A deep ruby red colour with a two finger pinkish head that had good retention and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Tart, cherry, cherry skin, with some light wood.
Taste: Sour, tart, cherry, notes of almond and wood, with a splash of lemon.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Enjoyable, easy drinking, with good cherry aroma and flavours.
