Golden-bronze with two fingers of creamy, near-white head. Great retention and thick lacing. Creamed corn in the nose. Diacetyl bomb: the taste: butterscotch variety. Medium bodied with zippy carbonation. Refreshing enough, but many better options in Czechia.

One of several tap hits at Pivovar Cvikov’s gastropub in Old Town Prague.
Common. Nothing wrong with it at all. It’s perfect to order with any sausage dish in the CZ.,.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Beyond gold and mid-amber, clear, pours with a 2.5Cm pillowy off-white head. ps after 10minutes, it holds up very well.
S- Smells quite bready. Overall subtle though.
T- Nice bright hops on the front, partially balanced by some malts coming in. Finish is residial hops and CO2 on the palate. All very trad, no surprises.
F- Net-net it's a somewhat hoppy (trad) dry lager. Uncomplicated but then lacking the finesse of say a good Bavarian lager.
O- The design of the can is dated old-school 'Eastern Europe/austere'. Nothing to offend here, but the flip-side is that there isn't enough going on either to warrant buying this at export prices outside the Czech Rep.
Review1947/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! ==> The can states it is 'Original Czech craft beer. Water from own well, Czech malt, Saaz hops. Ingredients Water, barley malt, hops.'
500ml can BB: 20/10/2021 £2.65 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
