Clear amber body under a small white head that only left a thin film if lace. Aroma of pine toward the front followed by citrus in back. Straightforward pale ale taste. A solid base of familiar hops supported by a strong malt backbone. Clean, crisp finish. Well carbonated, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, pretty much what I look for in a pale ale; a good firm bite, no major flaws, fresh, locally made.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a deep golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of citrus, little else. Taste is well balanced hops and malts, smooth and easy drinking. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Can (six pack). I'll be honest, the bold artwork on the label caught my eye among all of the craft cans stacked in the store cooler. So their marketing definitely worked... made me reach in and check it out. Glad I did. Overall, a very drinkable pale with a mellow hops flavor. Pours light amber in the glass (slightly hazy) with a decent head of foam. Definite hint of hops in the nose--piney and fruity--and a rich malty first taste. Then the hops shows up. Just enough to enhance the flavor. Definitely not "hoppy," as some APAs are beginning to become. Hint of bitterness in the end, rendering it one I went back and bought again. Contract brewed for canning at my local craft brewery, so it was very fresh tasting. Definitely something I'll keep in the fridge all summer. A buck or two cheaper than some regional crafts in the liquor store. So that was a nice surprise too. Gotta go check out the farm brewery a few miles north of us.
