What a surpising brew from a place known for its surprising brews. Todd does love him his Belgians, and for a change of pace, has made this one with sage honey. There's a thin, but long-lasting, lacy head over a body the color of... all I could think of was the tummy of a Hawaiian hula dancer. Yes, a bit of sage and a few other spicy flavors. I catch a suggestion of apple juice. Taste of caramel or darker malts, very little hop bitterness to get in the way. Coats the mouth with a suggstion of a well mixed bourbon and water. A Gold Medal winner at GABF 2003.
