I do not get into oktoberfest beers too often. Sam Adams is the only one I will drink. Flossmoor's was excellent. Went to the bar and had it on tap and came back a week later for a Keggy of the stuff. Great malt profile, perfectly balanced. Definately worth a try.

Looks like the first product of Flossmoors new lagering addition is here. This not a style Ive been able to get behind, but here I go: A good toasty malt quality. Somehow I caught a note of saltiness, could Matt have been usung Burton water for some reason? I also found this has a much more hoppy profile than any other Okto Ive found.

Pours solid amber with gold undertones. a mid-sized head dies quickly, leaving uneven chuncks of lace.
Aroma of caramel, vienna malts, some carapils and raosted nuttiness.
Flavors of rich, chewy caramel with some wheat bread and nuts combined with some yeasty and resiny undertones to create a nice beer. Tad to bitter for style but solid drinking beer.
Mouthfeel starts full-bodied with heavy sweetness that is cut by roasted notes and then abruptly finished by a sharp but short burst of bittering.
Drinkability is good. Start loses a little on he finishbut overall good beer.
