Brewmaster MattÂ’s first foray into Belgian styles here, and the choice is a somewhat mild starter. I got the very start of the keg, and so watched the barmaid pour out a lot of foam that looked like dishwater, and the impression stuck with me. Head is thin, but still substantive. Color is the usual opaque, pale yellow for this style. Taste is surprisingly creamy, with just a hint of hop spice over the expected Belgian character. I think this is something a little closer to a Point White than a real wit.
