On tap at Flossmoor Station during their pre-Dark Lord Day event.
Appearance
A bit on the thin side, this one looked pretty brown in the cup. A small head was short lived.
Aroma
Bourbon is minimal, but an earthy oak note is pretty strong. A touch of smoke and some dark fruits and licorice.
Taste
Lots of oak gives this beer a dry, woody flavor. Some dark fruits, chocolate and figs.
Mouthfeel
As I feared from the appearance, this body is fairly thin. At least thinner than I'd like from something like this. Its got and understated dryness to the finish.
