Served in a tumbler at the brewpub.
Sounds like the name of one of those crappy, early-'90s synth-pop bands, dudnit? Anyway, this stuff pours a clear russet-amber topped by a finger of glowing off-white foam. The nose comprises maple syrup, light cocoa, mild molasses, raisins, and a vague sense of moscatel sherry (yup, even beside the raisins). Damn, what a pleasant aroma! The taste holds notes of caramel, clove, light brown sugar, light raisin, light red apple skin, and a hint of banana peel. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a very light moderate carbonation and a smooth feel. Overall, a very tasty dubbel, possibly the unexpected highlight of my visit today.
