Served in a tumbler at the brewpub.
This was described to me as a pre-mixed blend of the normal Iron Horse and the barrel-aged version, the Wooden horse. And all on nitro, no less. Right on. It pours a straight obsidian topped by two fingers of brownie foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, whiskey, light oak, and what may or may not be a bit of dark chocolate. The taste brings in more of the same, with a mild booze-like vinyl character creeping in at times. The whiskey, though supposedly a bit player here, comes through pretty vibrantly. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a fine nitrogenation and a consequently very smooth feel. Overall, a nice little stout. 'Nuff said, really...
