Served in a tumbler at the brewpub.
This was described to me as a Belgian IPA spiked with lacto and aged on oak. Right on. It pours a hazy light-golden-straw topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises lemon zest, wheat, and a hint of lactic tartness. It's slightly unassuming, much like a mild lemon drop. The taste holds notes of orange zest, funky lemon zest, mild greens, light pine, and cracked wheat. The tartness is severely toned-down here, and the Belgian yeast is nowhere to be seen. It's still pretty good, though... The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a nice Belgian IPA, but one whose promise of lacto-spiking seems mostly unfulfilled to me. Again, it's still pretty tasty, but it could have probably tasted even better.
