Located in a business park with limited parking. Set up a German beer hall more or less. Lots of seating. Big menu that leans on German fare. What I've had has been good not great. The beer is mostly German style and better than the food. They had a blackberry clove mead when I was there recently and it was very good. Bartenders are nice but I see a lot of disorganization most times that I've been here. Things like what glass to use, how much to pour, trying to figure out where food coming out of the kitchen goes to. It's not a real issue, but it's consistent enough to comment on.

I visited this spot for dinner and some beer while in Dayton on a work trip. It is in a non-de-script business park surrounded incongruously by dance studios, lawyers offices and IT businesses. From the outside it looks very much like one of those non-beer businesses. Inside, it is a mish-mash of tables and chairs and a few pool and air hockey tables spread across several rooms. The furnishings are modern, but the decorations are a bit odd. There are shields and animal pelts and hunting regalia, for instance, on the walls of this business park office building. It sort of feels like they tried to recreate their German grand-parent's basement decor in here. The food was simple and homemade, but hearty and tasty. It matched what you might expect in a small-town German gasthaus, or a German grandmother's dinner table. The service was decent.

Now, let's talk beer! They had about 15-16 house beers on tap. These included a variety of styles, but I concentrated on the German ones. I found them all very good, well made and cared for, and true to the original styles. So, to sum up, I found the decor a bit odd, I found the food simple but good, and I found the beer to be the strong point.
