Rye Ale w/ Simcoe & Sorachi Ace Hops
6.7% ABV • 73 IBU
Brewed with a ridiculous amount of rye malt making for a not so fun brew day, but we really like using rye.. This beer has a spicy bite from the rye and a balanced citrus, earthy, pine flavor and aroma contribution from Sorachi Ace and Simcoe hops.
Note: Variations in ABV 6.3% to 6.7% observed

On draught.
A mahogany colored pour with a a beige head and some decent lacing up top.
The malty Rye aroma and flavor is very enjoyable. Hints of chocolate, caramel and a pleasant smooth mouthfeel. The hops bitterness is well done, pairs well with the sweet malt flavors and leaves a pleasant tangy caramel Rye malt aftertaste.
A well crafted Rye beer. I will definitely look forward to having this one again.
