500-mL brown glass bottle, capped, with BBE date stamped on the label. Best guess is that this is a pils. Purchased at the E-Center in Bamberg, Germany.
This bier poured a clear, golden color with creamy, white foam that persisted a while and clung to the glass in places. The smell was a nice bready malt aroma with a hint of sweetness and a modest noble hop aroma. The taste was rather hoppy with a good malt backbone including a very light hint of malt sweetness. The mouthfeel was smooth with medium to medium-light body and modest carbonation. The finish and aftertaste were lightly hoppy. This was a nicely drinkable beer.
