A mystery CAN in that I do not know from whence it came. I created it on this site, I took and submitted the approved pic, so I suppose that it is only fitting that I also review it. Viva The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Sparkling and fresh"; "A real Bavarian beer pleasure"; "Brewed according to the Berlin Purity Law of 1516" [translated from the German].
I had it well agitated before the Crack!, but with it CANtaining 500 ml of liquid, an inverted Glug was out of the question. My heavy-handed pour created two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was a cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was kind of light and faint. I caught both banana esters & pink bubble gum, but not in the usual intensity that I have come to expect in the style. Mouthfeel was kind of thin and watery. The taste was likewise muted. I could taste banana, bubble gum and even some clove, but it lacked Oomph. It is no secret that Hefeweizen is one of my least favorite styles, but at least I know what to look for in terms of taste. This just was not bringing it in any memorable sense. Finish was semi-dry, but lacking an intensity of flavor that rendered it rather ho-hum.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
