This Tripel is brewed according to the original recipe of the Mariawalder Klosterbräu trappist beer, which ceased to exist in 1956. It is brewed by the Bitburger Brewery and is named after the founder of the abbey.
I drank it in the abbey's gaststätte , which is not exactly the best place to taste beers. All in all a very decent beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
