From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This decent little brew pours a clear
golden with a very nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer,
and sports some very nice lacing. Nose of subtle spicy hops, medium strong breaded grain
notes, and honey sweet malt. Flavors follow the nose with honey sweet malt and balanced
spicy hop notes awash in breaded malts and grain notes. Mouth feel is medium light,
medium lively carbonation, smooth, finishing faintly creamy and subtly dry.
Overall, a decent little export.
Cheers

A solid German brew...
Been trying a bunch of German brews to start the new year in anticipation and with hope I will make it to Germany later this year. From these imports, I am very excited at what I will experience and taste, again and hopefully , later this year. I'll be looking for this one to see how it does locally versus imported.

500ml can poured into a .5L dimpled mug.
L: Mostly clear pale straw pour shows plenty of rising bubbles and is capped with a two finger creamy head. The white foam recedes slowly leaving lace.
S: Cracker and bready aromas, spicy hops after.
T: Sweet bread grain and light honey malt to open, honey malt continues right through and is checked a bit on the back by moderately bitter spicy hop flavor.
F: Medium bodied and fairly smooth underneath the crisp bite which fades as the ample carbonation off-gases.
O: Tasty and easy drinking, leaves you wanting a second pour.

Pours murky, gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is grass and grain. Light bodied, high carbonation, slightly bitter. Clean but I have had better. Fine beer...good with one.

Very good tasting helles lager which veers into pilsner territory, and to me that's a very good thing. White pepper, sharp and clean, with light rye bread flavors, a bit of bright mint and a subtle sweet lemon finish. High quality lager beer. I taste this as a pilsner, but OK helles if you like. I would buy this again, but I never heard of it or saw it until today. $7.99 for 4 euro pints - exceptional value, great beer.

Clear golden body, full white head with plenty of lacing. Floral hops top a bready and euro malty base, mild lemon zest lingers, smells clean but not the deepest aromas. Taste is much the same but now adds a mildly toasted grain element to the background. The feel though is very dry and the carbonation is high, but the dryness is appreciated. Pretty all around solid helles

Poured from a can.
Appearance - Cloudy gold body with a sudsy head that diminishes very quickly to a few bubbles.
Smell - Some grains.
Taste - Some grain notes, and crispy. Not much going on.
Feel - Medium body medium carbonation
Overall - Not very exciting and not a beer I need to seek out again. Compared to others my experience wasn't as good with this beer. I wonder if I got a bad can of it somehow.
