Reddish amber color. Fairly opaque in appearance. Underlying belgian yeast flavor. Sweet and spicy, fruity rye. Medium bodied and balanced bitterness. Medium finish. It's ok.

From a growler
Pours an amber color with a thin off-white head, some sticky lacing rings on the glass.
Smell is heavy with caramel malt, light piney hop presence.
Taste is similar to the nose with a strong caramel malt backing, hop presence is mild but more than enough to balance, for something called Red Ryder the rye spiciness usually attributed is rather tame, carbonation is spot on with a good body, finishes very dry but it's easy to drink so that may (or may not) help quench your thirst (might be a vicious cycle).
