Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a dark amber color with a slight transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Just a cap of a little white foamy head. Not much lace. The aroma had some sweet and roasty nuts, caramel/toffee malt, driftwood and sweet grains/somewhat like oats. Gentle earthiness at the end. The flavor had a light sweet malt with a lingering herbal to earthy, and somewhat floral with those grains coming about. Aftertaste is that herbal/earthy/floral grainy sweetness. Finish was quick and malty. The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed just a touch under with a good carbonation and the ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good brown ale that I could have again.
