This gruit is built on your usual pale ale grain bill and spiced with Sweet Gale and a bunch of locally foraged Dogwood berries! This year’s version also sports a shopping bag full of locally grown mixed hops–thanks Kate & son! We think Bubbles’d howl like hell over this one.

Had on tap. Wow the third gruit I've had by EE, has to be a record for an american brewery, LOL. Murky caramel brown with no head. Smell and taste are the same, very monotone: dark fruit and earth before pale and bright floral hops emerged but truly never escape the fruits' atmosphere, some honey and smoke linger. Feel is bright for style, decent hop sharpness, and full. More interesting than good

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
