from 64 oz growler into pint glass (also had on tap at brewery)
Pours a slightly hazy medium amber color with relatively thin tan-white head, though it leaves nice lacing rings on the glass. Fair amount of carbonation. Aroma is a pungent citrus grassy pine that really comes out to smack the nose. Very pleasant. Taste is similar to smell, a grassy citrus very hop-forward experience with a minimal malt backbone that is a little sweet, and low bitterness - a classic hazy IPA profile found commonly in the Portland Maine region. The sweet and hops are very well balanced IMO and it has a fresh carbonated zing that sticks around to the after taste.
After having done a recent tour around Portland breweries I feel like this one is the best of the lot in the style. I guess I had to come around full circle back to Portsmouth to realize it.
