Obscure German Lichtenhainer style reinterpreted without hops. Instead, poplar tree buds, wood betony, and birch twigs and bark.

Microbrew sample beer. This was the second Earth Eagle brew. I loved both. This was tart, smoky, a bit Belgian, and very unique. 3% ABV ?! Crazy flavor at such a small stature. Peaty, tangy, earthy, herbal, sour. Light bodied. Really fun and unlike anything else at the fest save for the Houlton's Pale I had from this exact brewery. Way cool

Had on tap. Super murky pale straw body with a white cap. Smell has bright wood, flowers, lighter smoke, and a sour lemon tanginess. Taste is all things, never had anything like it: centered around the balance of the wood and smoke complimenting the sour lemon and slight floral and herbal notes, yet all so bright and light, mesmerizing. Love that EE brings out styles to the spotlight and this was another hit
