From a growler filled February 25, 2017. Sampled on February 27, 2017. The brewery defines this as a Belgian Red Ale and I found no suitable category when I added this.
The pour is medium reddish-amber with a short-lived head that fades to nothing. No lacing.
The aroma has a sort of tannin sweet malt character with Belgian yeast, light spice, white toasted bread, and even a kind of burnt leaves note. The slightest of fruity hop presence.
Light to medium body.
The taste is similar to an Irish Red Ale with a twist of Belgian yeast and spice sweetness mildly sweet and also mildly bitter with a slight dry lingering finish.
