Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival a barely one finger of off white head was present that quickly dissipates to a ring around the glass. Body is a dark reddish near black.
Aroma is light coffee and dark chocolate with a German lager yeast aroma that dominates.
Taste is better than the smell but very similar with the malts being stronger but not much else. It's quite literally a dark lager. I want more nuance.
Feel is super light verging on watery. Super light and extra carbonated. It almost wants to be chugged.
Overall, this is an American lager with some black patent malt, or at least that's what this comes off as. Not a schwarzbier, but rather just a dark lager without much creativity.
