Dark reddish amber colour - leaning to brown - with two plus fingers of creamy khaki head.
Malt forward on the nose - caramel, roasty, toast with an earthy and slightly smoky aroma.
Caramel malt hits the palate with a grapefruit and citrus/burnt orange flavour. Leafy, earthy hops with a subtle citrus peel bitterness.
Medium full mouthfeel, moderate carbonation with a malty and roasty base over that earthy hop finish. More British than American pale ale, but still quite good either way.
