Pours an almost clear copper to amber colour with three fingers of creamy khaki coloured head.
Aroma is hoppy with strong citrus - grapefruit, grapefruit peel - and piney notes admixed with toffee like malt.
Flavours follow with some sweetness of caramel malt, grapefruit, burnt orange and a bit of pine finishing with a restrained but definite earthy bitterness.
Medium full mouthfeel with nice carbonation - little hint of the near imperial 7.7% ABV - finishing with a grapefruit bittersweetness.
