Strong like an American Barleywine but also similar to an English styled Barleywine in regards to the malts that are used. Bread/Caramel/Molasses and Toffee flavors.

Anniversary barley wine from the brewery in Spruce Grove - summer 2022 so two years of age on this - 16 ounce can - split two ways.
Pours a clear dark ruby/garnet colour with a finger of creamy tan coloured head.
Nose is piney and resinous with bready notes and some caramel and molasses.
Burnt caramel and sweet toffee up front but moving to a back of palate kick of resinous piney bitterness and some boozy heat.
Boozy bittersweet full mouthfeel with a lingering resinous coating. Did not have this fresh but at two years this was great with some notes of Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot.
