I really, really wanted to love this place, because we’d already had a couple “meh” brewpub experiences in our four-day trip to Myrtle Beach, and this place generously helped sponsor the marathon I ran here today.
Things started out on the wrong foot: “How do you do your flights?” (a question I often ask). “We’re not serving flights tonight.” If you want to greatly annoy me, tell me you won’t provide a flight at a brewpub I’m visiting for the first time.
So, we only ordered three beers, because I drink to enjoy the beer(s), not get drunk.
The Wee Heavy was the only one worth drinking (I reviewed all three), the brisket sandwich was just O.K. — I’ve had far better — and the Fish and Chips my wife ordered were good.
The outdoor seating option was very attractive (but full, so we sat inside). Service, other than the initial answer, was good.
And PLEASE, if you want your beers to be appropriately enjoyed, serve them in appropriate glassware! What’s with the plastic cups? We’re well enough past the pandemic that plastic cups for craft beer should be anathema.
