Taking the haze into the orchard, The Brew Bridge sees the natural citrus tendencies of the New England-styled ale and gives it a boost with tangerine for a full Valencia experience.
Foggy with a golden orange appearance, Tangerine 2nd & Elm builds a lofty lather of foam before enticing the nose with strong scents of orange and herb in a most citronella perfume. Its creamy sweetness of grain carries a profile of cereal, shortcake and honeysuckle to soothen the early palate.
A rise of hops bring a zesty attitude to the middle palate with their own impressions of tangerine, pink grapefruit, lemon and pineapple. As a hint of mango and passionfruit follow, the orange character turns up the intensity with a bright mimosa character that carries into a moderately bitter late taste of tea, cedar and lemon pepper.
Plush with malt flavor, the balance for bitterness remains with the creamy grains that bring a hint of melon and vanilla to a smooth hop bite to finish. A medium length aftertaste lingers with a growing herbal taste of verbena, sassafras and hemp.
