16oz can purchased today at the brewery with a 9/15/25 stamp on the pack 5% ABV. The beer pours bright dark amber with light khaki head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island. No lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring meaty, hammy campfire smoked malt. The taste is semisweet toasted malt that tastes like it was smoked over a dozen hams on hardwood. No discernable hop flavor and minimal bitterness. The feel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, about as good as a non-Bamberg smoked lager as I've had.
