Brown, caramelish looking in the glass, with a beige colored head that left a decent amount of lace on the glass.
Malty and hoppy aroma - in that order.
Toasted malts and some subtly piney hops dominate the flavor.
Medium bodied, with a slightly oily mouth feel.
It's described on MS's board as a "seasonal red ale." Kinda reminds me of an overly malty ESB. Just enough hop character to please a hop head, but also with a toasty, bready maltiness that seems to make this beer a good match to a cold winter night.
