From the bottle, it pours a clear reddish brown color with a modest off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves some lacing. The nose gets an earthy scent, possibly beets and malt. The taste is a bit earthy as well, with notes of possibly beets, a touch of caramel and malt. This is the Rotbier of Franken.
