Glossy obsidian black with a short, dark tan head.
Holding its weight against these old school Mexican Cake juggernauts I'm having side by side, this exhibits deep mocha characteristics accented by hints of salted caramel. A solid coffee bean bitterness buttresses the chocolatey base, allowing a mild hint of hazelnut to crop up over time.
The velvety medium to full body is infinitely chocolatey without being cloying, decadent, or artificial.
A feat of excellence in such company.

Appearance: Arrives onyx colored with a thin tin head that fades to a ringlet; shards linger
Smell: Dark chocolate, licorice and hazelnut tones
Taste: The licorice flavor is prominent with the dark chocolate elements emerging; hints of hazelnut arrive, after the swallow, the finish is on the sweeter side
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: Leans to the sweeter side than I would like but I am enjoying the adjuncts
