From the bottle, it pours a reddish amber with a moderate, fluffy head. The nose is pleasantly assaulted by the malt scent. The mouth is thrilled by the pleasant maltiness. Yum!

Comes in a 0.5L brown screw top (like a soda bottle) bottle. The label is brown with red lettering and an image of a goat holding a rose in it's mouth.
Tall pale-cream colored head leaves some fine wisps of lace. The beer is lighter in color then expected. More of a deep copper color, and pretty lifeless to boot. Oh man this thing smells malty. Caramel, toffee, and just loads of chewy malt in the aroma (if you could chew with your nose of course). Maybe even a plum or two, and a dash of alcohol as well. Sweet malty goodness with a breath of alcohol in the finish. The flavor is a bit cocoa, some caramel, and other dark malts along with hop tea undertones. Low carbonation in this one, which suits it just fine. The aroma is inviting, there is a ton of great flavor, and just enough alcohol to bring it all together. Quite the Doppelbock.
