Listed as a singel/patersbier, this beer looks as if it could be a really pale white hazy IPA. Even the creamy foam collar that it sports is familiar.
The nose is a tad funky, though, and not in a dank hop kind of way. Unfortunately, it’s mildly sulphuric; luckily it seems to fade a bit. There’s definitely a dry hay and Belgian yeast spiciness vibe going on, best judged after a swirl.
Taste has a nice dry cracker, grain, and mildly dirt-like opening. The flavors evolve to include a little spice and dry wood along with unripe orchard fruit and a hint of grape leaf. Decently dry and pretty refreshing.
