Listed as an English Brown Ale on Untappd, the beer might lean a little more that direction in makeup, though it’s literally called “English Mild.”
Either way, it’s a fairly average brew, lacking the more malty profile I expect from either style, including the fuller feel. There’s also an odd aroma of stale bread that is mildly tinged with cleaning fluid (which could be environmental, though I’m not too sure).
So, clear brown with a stark white collar. Other aromas on top of the stale bread/cleaner including walnut on the good side and a little wet cardboard on the bad. The bad aspects don’t translate directly to the taste, thankfully. Though a slightly watery toasted grain isn’t a huge jump up. Overall, this may be the most disappointing beer I’ve had by them regardless of style.
