On tap at brewery:
Rich copper brown, clear with a thin but sustained collar of off-white rusty bubbles. Nose is toasted bread with a little char on the underside, leather and wet earth, a hint of rich red wine grape. There’s a slight fusel note I get in some sniffs.
Taste starts with metallic-tinged toasted grain, then gets a little spice and, somewhat unexpectedly, some banana peel. There’s a bit of some generic acidic fruitiness, with a bit of a spiced bread finish.
