Look: Cloudy orange with a luscious and silky-looking white head that rises and slowly settles to a pillow, cratering away to reveal a nice coating of lacing
Aroma: Belgian yeast, wet hay, apple and pear esters, herbal notes, mandarins, and freshly baked bread
Taste: Starts off with a touch of sweet mandarin orange and herbal notes that quickly develop depth as wet hay follows close behind. Belgian yeast funk and fruity esters dance around, mingling with the fruit/herb combo and closes with some bread and more yeast
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, and lightly soft on the finish
Overall: I dig it. I love a good Belgian Pale and I’ve enjoyed what I’ve tried from these folks so far so gave the 4-pack a go, only then to see it’s also a collaboration with Sunriver as well. Good base beer with nice light citrus, herbal notes, and fruity esters, plus the typical Belgian yeast component, which doesn’t overpower the rest. Tasty and worth the buy
