On tap at Steeplejack Brewing
Bartender handed us an accidental short pour to make disappear as we were getting ready to head out. The first whiff/sip were, let's just say notable, so I think I have to throw down a super quick review on this one.
Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin spotting lacing. Both smell and taste wise, this is the dankest beer I can remember having in a very long time, if not straight up ever. Big time dank herbal grassy notes like top shelf bud, resinous pine and citrus zest + pith run the show, with tropical and stone fruit trying to peek their heads out like a game of whack-a-mole, faint floral tones as well, built on crackery slightly biscuity malt. Light to medium body with moderately lively carbonation, super dry.
If I didn't know better I'd guess this batch had an absolute ton of wet Centennial thrown in it and it totally dominated the Citra and Amarillo in a really interesting way. If this is the kinda thing you're into, you'll really enjoy this one. I will say, going from glancing at the bare bones description on the tap list to taking the first sip was like walking into a dark room then having the lights kick in and seeing Mike Tyson's fist headed for your face.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
