Pours a pale, slightly hazy golden color, with prodigious foam that relaxes into ample lacing. Smell is grain and grassy hops. Flavor has a notable citrusy start that carries through to the end. Backbone is grain, only a little malty sweetness and additional floral & grassy hops coming on in the end. Body is a a little heavy for a Helles, but light nonetheless. Carbonation is quite forward, which, combined with the advancing hops flavor, makes for a very crisp feel in the finish. Overall this is a good beer, with the citrus hop flavor somewhat distinct. As has been said, this beer is definitely on the pilsner side for a helles.

This one has a smooth feel. I agree with others that it has some pilsner taste and less malt.
Overall I like it, not the best ever, but above average.

Around medium carbonation with a slightly thin body.
Aroma is grassy forward followed by mild yeasty bread, with even more mild cereal.
Taste is almost identical to aroma, flavorful but subdued .
Not a powerhouse but I honestly enjoyed it

Rhanerbraü GMBH& CO. KG "Rhaner 1283 Hell"
500 ml can coded "04.07.2025 RHL P043020424". Sampled on 05.11.2024.
$59.99 / 24 can case - Costco's Biergarten Collection, Costco, Christiana, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: I'm a little bit surprised that this helles is hazy, and that it's a bit darker and more brass-looking than golden. The head is a tall, rocky cap of white foam. In the nose I'm finding sweetish grain, grassy, and flowers. It's clean and welcoming. The taste follows and it's a pretty straightforward helles with a moderate to median bitterness. It's not as bitter as a Pilsner, nor is it as hoppy. There also seems to be a little bit of a caramel character that might be coming from the kettle. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. I can certainly forgive its haziness, and I'm not sure what's going on with the color, but it's just a lacklustre beer.

From the half liter can in the 2024 Biergarten Collection from Costco, it pours a clear light amber color with a nice white head that reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets some light grassiness and light sweet malt, followed by the mouth getting the same.

500 ml can from the 2024 Biergarten Collection (Costco). The apparently very fresh can has a Best By date of 7 July 2025 stamped on the bottom.
This pale lager has a clear amber colored body with a good white head-- nothing less is expected in this style from a German brewery. The aroma and flavor are true to style except, perhaps, a weaker impact of the grassy hops before the aftertaste.
