Nice dark mahogany appearance with a lasting head
Aroma is a nice mix of malt, dark rye bread, toasted grains and cereal
Taste stayed very close to aroma, got over taken by the malt but still pleasant
Medium light carbonation with a slightly thin body
Overall it was a very enjoyable beer

Pours a reddish brown, like rosewood, with just a trace of foam. Smell is very clean, lightly malty. Taste starts with a dry malt, a little rye, with moderate grassy hops coming on in the middle and the end. Finish is very smooth, helped by a very crisp, fairly carbonated feel. Overall, this is a very drinkable beer with moderate flavor.

$59.99 / 24 can case - Costco's Biergarten Collection, Costco, Christiana, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured hazy brown body beneath a thumb's width of off-white foam. The aroma is clean, lightly caramelish, chocolatey, and fruity. It's welcoming although a little sweetish. On to the taste, it follows the aroma as usual. It's got both golden caramel and a litle bit of medium, reddish colored caramel. The chocolate is like milk chocolate or chocolate fudge. The fruitiness is like apple, and there's also a hint of floral and herbal hops. The malt is mild, and the bitterness is even milder leaving it malt forward. It does dry in the finish given a moment as the malt fades and the bitterness and herbal hops come forward. The body is medium on the lower end, and the carbonation is moderate leaving it smooth across the tongue. Having said that, the head dropped rather quickly but did maintain a solid surface covering, and did leave some very nice lacing behind. The haziness is the negative point for me in the appearance. The aroma is fine, as is the taste although it is a little sweet. It reminds me of a beer that I had early in the morning in Forchheim, and that seemed popular with the older men there. It's not great but it's certainly not bad, and it is very easy to drink.

500ml can from Costco's 2024 Holiday Collection. A Best By date of 30 July 2025 is stamped on the bottom of the can.
This looks like it could be a good Dunkel, but the hop-malt ratio is too high.
but I was satisfied with the level of hops and themild bitterness. As usual for German beer, this is good looking with a white head that lingers over the golden body.

It has kind of an off taste, and a slightly rough feel. It isn't terrible but it isn't one I would look to buy more of.

From the half liter can in the 2024 Biergarten Collection from Costco, it pours a clear mahogany color with a nice thick off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets some sweet light malt, with notes of caramel, followed by the mouth getting some nice slightly sweet roasted malt flavor.
