Poured from 440mL can into my Lord Chambray tumbler. Best by 1/2/27; lot number "1/2025", whatever that means!
Appearance: medium orange-yellow hue with a moderate to heavy haze and a finger of ivory foam atop. A very convincing apricot beer!
Smell: moderately sweet and slightly sour with a lovely apricot aroma. I don't necessarily get the bergamot from the earl grey, but it's no doubt playing a role; I also appreciate the understated nature of the vanilla. Very good indeed!
Taste: nice apricot flavor, along with a good hint of sourness. Not super malty, but it's there; the tartness adds a nice verisimilitude to the apricots' freshness. This is what I want out of a fruited kettle sour -- a little bit of beeriness, and some clear but unobtrusive fruit character; none of this milkshake fruit stuff.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and decent creaminess.
Overall: lightly sour and very refreshing. It's a bit warm here today, so this is going down nice and easy. I like that, for what goes for "fruited kettle sour" these days, this beer is not too sweet.
