The Strand Brewery & Kitchen

We stopped at this new brewery for lunch and to try their beers. The place is located among three lakes known as Sister Lakes, which is also the name of the community. I think it's vacation-land for many customers. (It's located just down the road from Sister Lakes Brewing.) It's a good-sized building with parking along the side and to the rear. A view of one of the lakes is just across the road. There is a large, partly-covered patio with some fire pits at the front with a lake view. This seems like a restaurant more than a brewpub, but the brewing equipment is visible thru large windows. A long bar is situated at the far side of the dining area and has seating for about 12 people. Tall and standard tables and chairs are plentiful. There were also plenty of TVs spread around the dining area. The vibe was good, and so was the service (they weren't busy).

There were only three of their beers available, but they also had 9 guest beers, mostly from nearby breweries, to provide a greater selection, and about a dozen macros/imports/seltzers/hard teas in bottles/cans. We ordered a sampler flight of their beers and doubled up on the Deep Purple Berliner Weisse (fruited) to fill the box. It's a good thing that we chose that one because it was far and away the best of the three. The IPA was just okay, but there was something wrong with the Chocolate Cherry Stout.

The food items that we had were good. The menu is posted on their website. Cocktails and wine are also available. This is a place that is okay if you're in the area, but it didn't stand out enough to make an out of the way trip.
