Infused with vanilla, this robust (or "ro-buttz") porter is an aromatic delight. The roasty, bready flavors of a classic robust porter pair well with the slight sweetness of the vanilla. Black coffee, chocolate, and toffee come through to make this a delightful brew for the dark beer lovers out there.

Served on draught at the brewery in a tulip glass. It's a dark walnut - nearly black - in color with a think ecru-colored head and lacing. The smell is great! Fragrant vanilla and brown sugar along with roasted malt. I was a bit concerned that the vanilla would dominate the flavor but was pleased that the taste opens with a nice dry bitterness. There are notes of burnt nuts and earthy char. The vanilla is present but it compliments the other flavors. Its mouth feel is on the thin side but its very drinkable at 6.1% ABV. Overall, I enjoyed Ro-Buttz Vanilla. It's well-crafted, flavorful, and fun to drink.
