I dropped in at Hops & Seed a few days ago; they’re one of the newest breweries in my area. They’re in the Woodinville brewery/winery/distillery district, which admittedly is mostly a collection of thoroughly nondescript industrial parks (honestly I don’t even think they’re allowed to have a sign other than a stencil on the door). It’s a small space, with room for a half dozen or so groups in the main taproom, but there’s also seating in the back area shared with the brewhouse for larger parties (it was reserved for a big group when I was visiting).
On my visit they had 8 of their own beers, plus a guest sour and two guest … wines? Woodinville gonna Woodinville! Styles included a smoked lager, rice lager, German Pilsner, Kölsch, “West Coast Pils”, pale ale, and a pair of IPAs — so I would say pretty lager-focused for a smaller brewery. The beers I tried were pretty decent, and I was happy to see a smoked lager on the menu.
Service was prompt enough, and I definitely want to return to sample more of their offerings in the future.
