I dropped in at Garland Brew Werks a couple months back while passing through Spokane. They’ve got a slick modern taproom, with a concrete bar and wood accents. There’s a bunch of board games available, and big community tables, so it’s clearly a good gathering place. When I visited they also had a nice outdoor area set up; service is good and the bartender I spoke with was super friendly.

They had 11 beers on tap when I was there, plus kombucha and seltzer, and a house root beer. Beer styles included four IPAs, two Pilsners (one traditional Bohemian and one “west coast pils”), hazy pale ale, amber ale, English dark mild, prickly pear lager, and a fruited gose. The hazy pale was my favorite of the bunch, and I liked the dark mild (I was just happy they had one at all!). They’ve got a small food menu, mostly bar snacks; I got the stout-glazed pecons and they were as good as they sound!

Cool store front brewpub in a small strip shopping center on the north side of town in a largely residential neighborhood. L-shaped bar perpendicular to the entrance on the right seats about 20, with additional table seating to the left, and a few picnic tables on a patio along the left side of the building. A dozen beers on tap, the 2 I tried were very nice. Personable bartenders. I did not try the food.

this place is fantastic, a great addition to the local scene, and a part of town that needed a brewery, seems to fit in well in this hip little neighborhood. its in a sort of strip mall location, but inside its modern and airy, white and bright and clean, modern and minimalist, definitely a cool and funky vibe to it, buzzy energy and quite a bit of space, almost feels more like a new wave cafe than a taproom. long bar, well spaced table seating, a modest outside area on the side, and the brewery hidden from view in the back, smells new still. they had a nice selection when i was in for still being so new, eight or so beers flowing, good mix of stuff, some haze, a dark beer, a kolsch, a sour, more than just the basics, some decent ambition, seems like lots of other flavors on the way with plans to be rotating pretty regularly, i dig it. i liked a pineapple berliner and enjoyed the grapefruit hazy as well, the kolsch was less impressive but still solid, and it seems they are off to a pretty good start in the brew house. service is unrivaled here, great dudes formerly of community pint, friendly and welcoming and full of knowledge, that alone makes this place worth a visit, they made mine fun and informative! they do some food too apparently but i didnt get into it, saving it for next time. i expect these guys blow up pretty quick, become one of the local heavy hitters in no time, they have a great start going here, exciting!
